NEW! Louie Vega @ Dragon-I Collections

Touted as Hong Kong’s grooviest venue and premier danceclub, Dragon-I has been visited in the past by countless celebs including Rhianna, Lionel Ritchie, Coldplay, Michael Jordan, Venus Williams and many others. It’s only natural they teamed up with Grammy Award winner Louie Vega and King Street/Nite Grooves to release their first ever house music digital compilation. This is the first time King St has released an overseas club- related comp as well.
Louie returned to his lab and re-worked Dennis Ferrer feat Mia Tuttavilla’s smash hit “Touched the Sky,” and has especially created his very own intermittent Vega beat original floor fillers, namely I, II, & III, which are seamlessly mixed throughout various segments. All of the selected tunes have slight peaks and valleys with mostly even keels and steady tempos, that tug on the swaying hips ever-so deeply. Other highlights on this comp include Jon Cutler’s dub of Kimara Lovelace’s “Far Away,” Mr.V’s 5 Beats Mute Pass of DJ Roland Clark’s “Have A Good Time,” the Kerri Chandler Kaoz 6:23 Dub of Studio Apartment feat. Monique Bingham’s “Found Him,” the Teddy Douglas Re-Edit of Pastaboys Main Mix of Ananda Project’s club hit “Where The Music Takes You” and quite a number of other notables. The end result is a smooth straight up no holes barred House voyage of the best tunes to be released by King St in recent years, and with the Master at the helm you just know it’s going to be a great ride. Buy the package and get Louie’s full 74 minute magical mix as a bonus!

NEW! Brooklyn Friends EP

Grammy Award winning producer David Morales‘ alter-ego Brooklyn Friends taps into a bit of mellow madness with his latest and 4th EP on Nite Grooves. “”Obedience,” is an alluring collaborative effort with fellow Def Mix cohort Satoshi Tomiie. The result is an otherworldly lush string and piano laden melodic affair which needs to be heard to be believed. The other 2 versions of “”Gloria’s Groove ” on this double release, while just as lovely and tuneful, add some more kick and bump up the rhythm quotient a whole lot.

Heather Johnson “Destination” Single + Video

Former female lead singer of future soul neo dance group Ananda Project has gone solo. Having already released 3 smashing soulful singles and a number of EPs off her new album Happiness, Heather Johnson’s latest single, “Destination,” is an absolute vocal passionate joyride. Fortifying the feel of this tune is one of our repeat defending champion remixers out of the UK, namely Sean McCabe, who blasts the basslines, chord jabs and lush melodies right out the boom box on his Main Vocal Mix. He also adds 2 other dubs for more minimal vocal effect. Speaking of minimal, Hungary’s own (Zoltan) From P60 adds his own deep, minimal flavor to this remix package with a nice head-nodding dubby remix. The mix-sake of the video now with already thousands of views on YouTube and showing on Rock America and Promo Only is Japanese producer DJ Kawasaki, whose original can be described as a festive punchy 4/4 that superbly compliments Heather’s angelic vocal.

NEW! DJ Roland Clark presents Urban Soul

This most recent tune by King St mainstay artist DJ Roland Clark presents Urban Soul is an homage to those who’ve lost the struggle in the politically unstable countries in Africa. Having just returned from a tour in South Africa, Roland’s new tune is a heartfelt reminder to be grateful to be alive. This song features a truly strong (but not aggressive) Original Mix as well as a chunky deep variation from Real Tone Records’ renowned French producer and DJ, Franck Roger.

jOHNNY DANGEROUs’ “War With The Devil” Remixes

Considered by some to be the Lou Reed of Dance Music, Philly dance producer, spoken word artist, and DJ, jOHNNY DANGEROUs has seen his share of releases, including his debut digital full length “Problem 13″ on Nite Grooves released just this past summer of ‘09. Best known for the mega club classic “Beat That Bitch,” jOHNNY hits us with his latest single “War With The Devil,” with 6 distinct brand new 2009 remixes by Mr. V. The originally released remixes by Deep house producers Mucho Soul and Romatt are included as well as Johnny’s original. The war between Jonny Dangerous and his demons rage on and that’s what makes this one of the most eclectic tunes in the catalogue.

NEW! P’taah “Everything Is Naturally Free”

Northern Italian star Dance producers Supernova keep coming back and hitting us with unsurpassed musical creations. Their sound is a lovely deep, hard disco, spaced out pumping loops which may be a bit hard to come by these days and we absolutely love it. Their latest offering is a remix of Chris Brann’s brainchild P’Taah outfit entitled “Everything is Naturally Free.” There’s so much riding on this mix it’s almost impossible to describe. Listen and know what we mean.
